The Daily Question

What weather do you still remember,
years after it happened?

Most days, the weather is forgotten by teatime. A few days, it stays with you for life.

The winter the snow came up past the gate and the school shut for a week. The summer the tar went soft on the road. The night the wind took the slates off half the street and nobody slept. The wedding where it poured and nobody minded.

Weather tends to stick when something else was going on underneath it. You remember the rain because of who you were standing in it with.

So — what weather do you still remember, years after it happened?
