The Daily Question

What did you stop doing
without ever deciding to?

Nothing was announced. There was no last time that you knew was the last time.

You used to swim. You used to write letters at the kitchen table. You used to play something, badly, in a room with other people. You used to read in the bath until the water went cold. Somewhere it stopped appearing in the weeks, and the weeks closed over it.

Some of it went for good reasons. A job changed, a child arrived, a body objected. The rest went for no reason you could name, and you would take it back tomorrow if somebody handed it to you.

So — what did you stop doing without ever deciding to stop?

This page is not help, and I am not qualified to give it.

If you are struggling, please ring one of these. Both are better at it than anything on the internet, this page included.

This one is on the things we keep. There are four others.
