The Daily Question
What did you learn to do
later than everyone else?
Everybody has one. The thing the rest of the class could do at seven that you only managed at twenty-five, or forty, or last spring.
Riding a bike. Swimming. Driving. Cooking anything that did not come out of a packet. Saying sorry first. Asking for help without apologising for it.
There is usually a small embarrassment attached to it. Underneath that is something better: the day it finally clicked, and the person who did not laugh while you got there.
Late is still learned.
So — what did you learn to do later than everyone else?
This page is not help, and I am not qualified to give it.
If you are struggling, please ring one of these. Both are better at it than anything on the internet, this page included.
This one is on where you come from. There are three others.
