The Middle of the Day
We give most things about a fortnight. If it has not taken by then we decide it was not for us — the exercise, the instrument, the early mornings, the new way of speaking to someone we have been at odds with.
But some things are slow by nature, not by fault. A garden does not hurry because you are watching it. Neither does a habit, or a friendship, or a body mending.
If you gave something up recently for being slow, it may just have been slow.
This page is not help, and I am not qualified to give it.
If you are struggling, please ring one of these. Both are better at it than anything on the internet, this page included.
This one is on other people. There are two others.
