The Middle of the Day
Most people go a whole day
without hearing their own name.
Count the times somebody has said your name today. For a lot of people the answer is none. Whole conversations get had without it. The shop does not need it. You can go from Monday to Friday being called mate, or love, or nothing much at all.
It is a small thing and it does not land as a small thing. Use the name of the person who hands you your coffee. Start the message with it instead of hi. Put it in when you thank somebody.
It takes a second, and it is the plainest way there is of saying you know exactly who you are talking to.
