The Middle of the Day
A morning of interruptions
is not a lost morning.
You had a plan for this morning and you have not touched it.
What you did instead was answer somebody. Find a thing that was lost. Sit with a person who needed a few minutes and took twenty. Sort out something that was never yours to sort.
It feels like a lost morning because none of it was written down last night. But the list was never the whole of the job. A good deal of what you are for never makes it onto a list. It turns up at your desk, or your door, and asks.
Some days you do need to shut the door and get on. Today was probably not one of them.
The morning was used. It was only not spent the way you meant.
This page is not help, and I am not qualified to give it.
If you are struggling, please ring one of these. Both are better at it than anything on the internet, this page included.
This one is on other people. There are twelve others.
